Welcome to LecSnap ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and
your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your
information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
By using the LecSnap App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the
terms of this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
We may collect personal information that can be used to identify you, including:
Email Address: When you contact us for support or feedback, or when you link your Apple ID
Apple ID Information (if you choose to sign in with Apple):
- Apple User Identifier (a unique, anonymous ID provided by Apple)
- Email address (your real email or Apple's Private Relay email, depending on your choice).
Note: You have the option to hide your real email address when signing in with Apple; in
this case, Apple provides a unique private relay address.
- Full name (only if you choose to share it during the first sign-in). Apple allows you to edit or remove
your name before sharing.
Device Information: We collect information about your mobile device, including:
- Unique Device Identifier (Device ID)
- Operating system version
- Device model and manufacturer
- Mobile network information
- IP address
1.2 Content You Provide
When you use the App, you may provide:
Video and Audio Files: Lectures, tutorials, or other educational content you upload for analysis
Recordings: Audio recordings created using the App's built-in recording feature
Chat Messages: Messages sent to our AI assistant
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:
Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used, time spent, frequency of use,
content type analyzed (video/audio), and types of content sources (e.g., public web links, local file
uploads)
Performance Data: App crashes, system activity, and performance metrics
Analytics Data: User behavior patterns and preferences
1.4 Payment Information
For Pro subscribers, we collect:
Payment Data: Payment is processed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). We do
not collect or store your credit card or payment information directly. Payment processing is handled by
RevenueCat and the respective app stores.
Subscription Details: Subscription type, start date, renewal date, and entitlement status
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
2.1 Core Service Delivery
Content Analysis: To process your video and audio files using AI technology (Google Gemini, Groq) to
generate summaries, notes, and mind maps
Service Provision: To provide and maintain the core functionality of the App
Account Management: To manage your subscription status and entitlements
Cross-Device Synchronization: If you link your Apple ID, we use your Apple User Identifier to associate
your data and subscriptions across multiple devices
2.2 Service Improvement
Analytics: To understand how users interact with the App and improve our services
Performance Monitoring: To monitor App performance, identify bugs, and optimize user experience
Crash Reporting: To collect crash data and improve App stability
2.3 Communication
Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, support requests, and feedback
Service Updates: To send important updates about the App (e.g., new features, service changes)
2.4 Service Optimization
Technical Improvements: To optimize service performance and user experience, we may remotely adjust
technical parameters (such as AI model selection, server configuration, caching strategies, etc.). These
adjustments do not change the fundamental principles regarding data collection and use outlined in this
Privacy Policy.
2.5 Security and Compliance
Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity
Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We may share your information with the following third parties:
3.1 AI Service Providers
AI Analysis Services: We use third-party AI service providers (including but not limited to Google
Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, and other AI platforms) to process and analyze your content. Data sent to these
services is used solely for providing analysis results and is not used to train AI models. Processing is
done in a stateless manner, meaning your content is not permanently stored by these AI providers.
3.2 Authentication Services
Apple (Sign in with Apple): When you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive an identity token from
Apple containing your Apple User Identifier and optionally your email address. We verify this token with
Apple's servers. Apple does not share your password or other authentication credentials with us. For more

3.3 Backend Services
Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for:
- Crashlytics: Crash reporting and stability monitoring
- Analytics: Usage analytics and performance monitoring
Google Cloud Platform: We use Google Cloud Run for hosting our backend API services
RevenueCat: Manages subscription billing, purchases, and customer info. RevenueCat processes payments in
accordance with App Store/Play Store policies.
3.4 Data Storage and Hosting
Google Cloud Run: Our backend API services are hosted on Google Cloud Platform's serverless computing
infrastructure
Google Cloud Storage (GCS): Temporary storage for uploaded video/audio files during processing. Files
are automatically deleted shortly after processing completes
Cloudflare R2: Object storage for analysis results including summaries, notes, and mind maps
Supabase: Cloud database for storing analysis records metadata and user data
Local Storage: Some data is cached locally on your device for offline access
3.5 Important Notes
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes
Third-party service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and data protection agreements
Your uploaded content (video/audio) is temporarily stored in Google Cloud Storage during processing.
Files are automatically deleted within a short period after processing completes (typically within 24
hours). We do not permanently store your original media files
Analysis results (summaries, notes, mind maps) are stored in Cloudflare R2 for your future access, with
metadata stored in Supabase database
Apple ID data is used solely for account identification and cross-device synchronization. We do not use
it for marketing or share it with third parties except as described in this policy
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information,
including:
Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
Secure Storage: Sensitive data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption
Access Controls: Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
Regular Audits: We regularly review our security practices
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to
use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes
outlined in this Privacy Policy:
Analysis Records: Stored indefinitely unless you delete your account
Uploaded Content: Processed and discarded from our servers; may be cached locally on your device
Usage Data: Typically retained for up to 12 months for analytics purposes
Account Data: Retained until you request account deletion
Apple ID Data: Your Apple User Identifier and associated email are retained as long as your account
exists. Upon account deletion or when you revoke the App's access to your Apple ID, this data is permanently
deleted within 30 days.
5.1 Apple ID Credential Revocation
If you revoke the App's access to your Apple ID through your device settings (Settings → [Your Name]
→ Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID → LecSnap → Stop Using Apple ID), Apple will
notify us. Upon receiving this notification:
Your Apple ID association with our service will be removed
Your account will revert to a guest (device-only) account
Your analysis records and subscription status will remain accessible on your current device
Cross-device synchronization will no longer be available until you sign in with Apple again
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
6.1 Access and Portability
Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Right to Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
6.2 Correction and Deletion
Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal obligations)
6.3 Objection and Restriction
Right to Object: Object to the processing of your personal data
Right to Restrict: Request that we limit how we use your data
6.4 Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data by:
Going to Settings → Delete Account in the App

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to all your analysis records and
subscription status.
Note for Apple ID users: Deleting your account in the App will remove your data from our
servers, including the association with your Apple ID. However, to fully revoke the App's access to your
Apple ID, you should also go to your Apple ID settings: Settings → [Your Name] → Password & Security
→ Apps Using Apple ID → LecSnap → Stop Using Apple ID.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal
information, please contact us immediately.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We
ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy
and applicable laws.
Our third-party service providers (Google, Supabase, RevenueCat) may operate servers in various countries.
You can review their respective privacy policies for more information.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following tracking technologies:
Firebase Analytics: To analyze user behavior and App performance
Crashlytics: To collect crash reports and improve stability
Device Identifiers: To identify your device and provide personalized service
We do not use cookies for marketing or advertising purposes.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
Posting the new policy in the App
Sending a notification through the App
Sending an email (if you have provided one)
Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of
the changes.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a resident of California, you have specific rights regarding your personal information:
Right to Know: Categories of personal information we collect, use, and share
Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
Right to Opt-Out: Opt-out of the sale of your personal information (Note: We do not sell personal data)
